Das kann dauern

In der Regel wartet man am längsten auf die Vorsilben der trennbaren Verben. Aber mit diesem Satz muss man auch geduldig sein, um die richtige Bedeutung zu kapieren:

»Sinkende Verkaufszahlen und immer weniger Festanstellungen: Der Trend in der Branche der gedruckten Zeitungen betrifft Magazine wie BISS aus München oder Hinz&Kunzt aus Hamburg nicht.« http://www.dw.com/de/obdachlosenzeitungen-in-deutschland/a-18246117

In diesem Fall steht das Wort „nicht“ ganz am Ende. (Hier gibt es eine Tabelle mit Bespielen der Positionen „nicht“ haben kann.) Wenn man diesen Satz liest, kann man Wörter überspringen, bei hören nicht.

    Begreifen might be a better choice in written German than kapieren – the latter is more of a vernacular form. Not being German I’m not sure, but I believe it is typical of Berliners. I would often hear it there, but rarely in Bavaria.

    I suspect you are right. I saw a film in Plattdeutsch (Plattdüütsch) with German subtitles and although it would be very common to hear „ein Baby kriegen“ this was rendered as „ein Baby bekommen“.

    Kriegen is definitely Berlin. Whenever I would say gekrigt in a German class, the Profs would always clarify it for the rest of the class. Hamburg is probably one of the best places to learn German as they tend to pronounce things in proper Hoch Deutsch and don’t toss in a lot of dialect.
